2008-09 Don Awards Television introduction

~Welcome to Don Award's #5!!! Yes, I have been doing this for five whole years now, three of which that have been posted on this blog. So what do we have in store for our fifth anniversary you ask? Well, this year I have decided not to make any promises that I won't keep. So yes... no Don's television hall of fame, or weekly Don television articles (man, I sucked at both of those). Instead we are going old school, and keeping things true to what brought all you fans to me in the first place (as I am now a national entity due to the fandom I received last year). But first there are some dates I'd like to throw out there. These are the tentative release dates of my updates. Once again, odds are the farther I get into this award ceremony, the less likely this will ever come to pass.

July 17th: Nominees for Best Reoccuring character
July 18th: Nominees for Best Male character
July 19th: Nominees for Best Female character
July 20th: Nominees for Best Episode of television
July 21st: Nominees for Best Television Show
July 27th: Major Television Stories of the Year
July 29th: Minor Television Awards
July 31st: The Major Television Awards

So there you go fans, a basic idea of my plans. I am sure I will run into some uncontrollable problems with my busy lifestyle, but I will work my best to disapoint none of you. So, with my national prowess these days, I need to substantiate that I am only a student with only trace amounts of time to devout to television. Therefore, when you see some major shows unrepresented in my awards, its do to the fact that I only watched 20 shows regularily this year, and couldn't afford more. Also, certain shows like Heroes, House, and 30 Rock were watched at the beggining but dropped for various reasons, so don't really qualify for the awards. The following shows, however, did qualify in this years Don Awards:

24
90210
Battlestar Galactica
Breaking Bad
Burn Notice
Chuck
Degrassi: Next Generation
Dexter
Dollhouse

Friday Night Lights
Fringe
Gossip Girl
Greek
Harper's Island
LOST
Mad Men
Shield
Skins
Survivor (both sections)
True Blood
Tudors

So there you go. Those are the twenty-one shows I watched in their entirety and will be making up the nominees and winners of most of the awards. I apologize if your personal shows didn't make the cut, and that doesn't mean those shows are poor, but just that they don't currently fit in my viewing schedule. Hopefully you enjoy this years awards, as it is a monumental one. Some big things may go down this year that could go in Don Awards infamy, so be prepared and never, EVER, be afraid to comment. I love reading what my fans thing. Peace out all of you, and enjoy!

If only 3 of the Don Awards are on this blog, where are the other two? In some journal tucked under your bed?
